Texas BBQ, Homemade Sausage and a Specialty Meat Market
There's a new barbecue restaurant called Novosad's Smokehouse, just south of Rockport on Business 35 South (across from Palm Harbor).
Owners Cody and Lisa Novosad bring a longtime love of Texas barbecue,combined with old-time time and care in preparation, to create some excellent barbecue favorites. Along with perennial favorites such as brisket, ribs, chicken and chopped beef and pork, they offer a wonderfully moist and flavorful smoked turkey.
Although the barbecue alone is reason enough to stop in and give them a try,the sides are not your average BBQ joint fare, and you may find yourself addicted to their unique variation on cole slaw, potato salad and beans.Beer and wine are also available.
Novosad's also features a specialty meat market where you can buy hand cut steaks, homemade sausages, and vacuum sealed meals for fisherman to take out on the water. Add to this numerous Texas specialty foods such as spicy pickled vegetables, Texas-grown honey, jellies, jerky and other gourmet items, and you may want to make Novosad's Smokehouse a regular shopping
stop when you're out their way.
Catering for special events is also available.
Novosad's Smokehouse is located at 3817 HWY 35 South (Across from Palm Harbor), between Rockport and Aransas Pass. Their hours are 10:00AM - 9:00PM Monday thru Thursday, 10:00AM - 10:00PM Friday & Saturday, and closed Sundays.
