Traveling Texas with Nancy Deviney
Nancy Deviney has been traveling Texas since 1991 and loving it. When she's not exploring little known corners of South Texas and meeting the interesting folks found in those corners, she resides in Live Oak County on the shores of Lake Corpus Christi with her husband, Frank Deviney, otherwise known to regular readers as "the Banker”. This Native Texan was born in Corpus Christi, grew up in Kingsville and has lived in the South Texas area for over 60 years. She was Executive Director of the Freer Chamber of Commerce for 15 years and currently works throughout South Texas as an Events Planner. Nancy has been active in South Texas tourism since 1988. She serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Texas Tropical Trail Regional heritage tourism program, headquartered in Kingsville, and is a member of the Texas Coastal Bend Regional Tourism Council. She and the Banker have twin sons and four grandchildren living in Houston and San Diego, California. Nancy is always looking for story ideas. Contact her at
